Baseball Camp

Ryan went to baseball camp at the local minor league team's stadium.He was so excited that he was was dressed and ready to go by 6 am that morning. Here are the kids, stretching with some of the team on the outfield. After stretches they spent the day doing hitting, throwing, and fielding drills.

The guys stuck around after to sign autographs for the kids. Ryan had a different player autograph everything he had with him that day. All items are now on display in his room, because "The Sounds are the best team ever!". If you look closely in the picture below you can see some of the autographs.

Ryan thought it was so cool to be out on the actual field that a real baseball game would be played on in only a few short hours.

Makenna had fun roaming the stadium during our morning drop off and missed her brother tremendously while he was busy at camp. To make up for not getting to go, we met the DM at work and got to hang out with him for a mid morning snack.

It was a good day for all members of the H household.

A new craft

I made my first diaper cake a few days ago. It was fun, easy, and turned out pretty cute for a first attempt. Below is the first layer. I cut a round piece of cardboard out and covered it in Tinfoil. Then put a box of wipes on the base, surrounded it with two cloth diapers that were embellished with fabric (to be used as burp clothes) and stuffed it with rolled diapers. For the second layer I started with some baby lotion, and then wrapped the rolled diapers around it. The outermost layer is wrapped in coordinating polkadot and "it's a boy" ribbon. All tied together with a tiny piece of white string that's hidden behind the ribbon.

Top layer is composed of a couple bottles, diaper ointment and babywash all wrapped in another embellished cloth diaper/burp cloth and wrapped with ribbon.

And to finish it all off, the best bib ever bunched together and popping off the top.

Cute, right?
